RHONDA TOWNS TO PERFORM AT CHANDLER CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Country music recording artist Rhonda Towns has been confirmed to perform as a headlining act at the Chandler Center for the Arts Saturday, September 15, 2007, at 7:30PM.
One of the eclectic acts scheduled to appear as part of the 2007 Free Summer Concert Series at the intimate 20-year old venue (Chandler, AZ), Rhonda’s up-close and personal performance will be presented by Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona, Dan Grubb Ford (Phoenix, AZ), Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Holiday Inn Express (Ocotillo), “Maui Wowi” Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies, ROCKSTAR Energy Drink (Mexico), RanchandFarm.com and Silver Spur Guest Ranch, Bandera TX.
“The Chandler Center for the Arts features accomplished acts—from Jazz, Big Band, Strings, and even celebrity writers such as Jeff Daniels,” Towns said. “The venue is like a little Opry House in Chandler. This is a wonderful opportunity that will make for a forever memorable moment in my career.”
Rhonda celebrated the national release of her debut album I WANNA BE LOVED BY YOU under her own independent label (Dawn Records) in 2006. She released two singles from the CD [“I Wanna Be Loved By You” and “Somethin’ Better] as produced by the famed Harold Shedd, Norro Wilson and Jim Cotton. The success of the singles landed her positions on Music Row charts and put her on the pages of CMA Close-Up, County Weekly, Music Row, Power Source and Indie Islands magazines. In addition to Rhonda's summer show and special appearances schedule, she is currently working with producer Biff Watson on her sophomore recording project which is expected to be completed in early 2008.
Rhonda will donate a portion of the proceeds raised from this event through sponsorships to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona*. A number of local/area merchants have also joined in this effort to participate as event sponsors including: Arizona Body Sculpturing, "Cheeburger Cheeburger" Franchise, Clean Concepts, Cloud's Carpet Care, Custom Made Posters, Digital Home Experts, Honey Bears BBQ, Hudson Manor, JesterZImprov, Marketing Edge Southwest, Valpak of East/Mesa Valley, Viking Instant Print.
